• Who is this facial suitable for:
Dermaplaning is suitable for all skin types. Dermaplaning is an exfoliating treatment in which a certified beautician uses a special sterile blade to remove dead skin cells and downy hairs (vellus hairs). This process can smooth the skin and improve the absorption of skin care products. The chance of skin irritation is minimal and the end result is radiant, smooth, fresh skin with a natural glow.

    • Skin types : Dermaplaning is generally suitable for all skin types. It may be particularly beneficial for those with dry or rough skin.
    • No active acne : It is not recommended for people with active acne because it can irritate the inflamed areas. However, people who occasionally suffer from pimples can still benefit from the treatment, provided the beautician works carefully.
    • Fine lines and wrinkles : Dermaplaning can help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
    • Dull skin : For people with dull skin, dermaplaning can help give the skin a fresher and brighter appearance.
    • For most ages : Both younger and older adults can benefit from dermaplaning, depending on their skin needs.
    • Pregnancy : Since many skin care treatments are not suitable during pregnancy due to the chemicals in them, dermaplaning is a safe option for pregnant women looking to refresh their skin.

However, there are also some contraindications and considerations:

    • Sensitive skin : People with very sensitive skin or rosacea should be careful with dermaplaning. It is essential to consult a professional beforehand.
    • Skin conditions : People with certain skin conditions, such as keratosis pilaris, eczema or other chronic skin problems, should consult their dermatologist before deciding on dermaplaning.

: After treatment, the skin may be more sensitive to the sun, so it is important to use a good sunscreen.

    What can you expect:

The treatment lasts 90 minutes, during which I first conduct a short skin analysis. This will result in advice after which we complete the treatment with the right products. I start with an appropriate cleansing and then cleanse the skin more deeply with an enzymatic peeling. Then follows dermaplaning to remove impurities, dead skin cells and downy hairs. After this I apply a hydrating serum and you get a restorative and nourishing mask. The treatment ends with a day care with SPF or a night care so that your skin is fully protected when you step out the door.
